Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I own a 2000 honda accord ex-v6. my srs light has come on twice now. the first time i had it reset by the dealer, and it cost me $100. they also claimed it was my front impact sensor. this vehicle has not been bumped or had an accident since i have owned it, so i fail to see how that could break. now, the second time, the srs light has again come on and has been on my dash for several months. i am fairly certain that i will not have a functional driver's side airbag if ever i am hit. this is a huge safety issue. i have read several similar complaints about this srs light situation on your site and many others. i believe that this problem warrants a recall, as the dealer is set to charge me close to $400 to replace the sensor and still cannot guarantee this will fix the problem in the long-term. since this is so prevalent, why is this not a priority??? this should be a recall or some sort of campaign, because frankly, many of us feel very unsafe. *jb updated 01/02/08. *lj updated 12/12/07 *tr |
