| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: No real warning--my wife was driving our passat and the engine stalled. attempts at restarting the vehicle failed. i am thankful that my wife was in a parking lot instead of a busy highway. the vehicle was towed to the nearest dealership where they informed me that the fuel pump was at fault. i had to pay over $500.00 for replacement of the fuel pump. what's more frustrating is that a recall was apparently ordered for this same problem on 2003 model year passats (see nhtsa campaign id number 07v375000). *tr |
