Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While driving our practically new family 2007 jeep commander the engine stalled, at highway speed (70 mph +). i pulled to the shoulder; and re-started the jeep. i drove about 40 miles, and w/o warning the jeep stalled again. it also stalled a few days later, as i drove at city speed (30 mph). every thing appeared to be normal during these occurrences -- no warning lights or beeps. when my husband and i returned from the trip, we took the jeep to the dealer. they kept the jeep 6 days. the service department rep. said the engineers were unable to duplicate the problem, that every thing checked out okay. the rep did say that chrysler is aware of the problem but do not have a fix, however he was advised to release the jeep to us. we objected to taking the jeep and the dealer worked out an acceptable deal on another model. we bought the jeep new, 3 months before the incident. *jb |
