| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I purchased a 2006 dodge charger r/t used, with only approx. 4,500 miles on it. after driving it the remaining part of the winter (dec thru feb) and into the warmer months, i noticed that my brakes started to squeal when i would brake to slow down from up to 50 miles per hour. i had contacted the dealers service center and had them inspect the brakes and all i received was the explanation that the brakes glazed over and the only thing to do would be to turn the rotors which would have cost me over $200. i went elsewhere and had the front rotors turned for less money, however, after approx. 3 weeks the squeal came back. prior to owning this vehicle i owned a pontiac grand am whose brakes never squealed even when aftermarket brakes and rotors were put on. it would appear to me that a car of this price, would not have brakes that squeal after less than 7,000 to 11,000 miles being driven. *tr |
