Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: While trying to stop, while my foot was on the brake pedal, the engine started racing and was not able to stop, i ended up hitting the car in front of me, 2 car passengers went to the hospital with minor injuries. contacted jeep and car was checked by factory expert at local dealer , nothing defective was found with brakes . this has happened 2 times before this accident. fortunately, i was able to stop. also i had to replace all 4 rotors with less than 18,000 miles, complained to jeep and was told that rotors are normal wear and tear item and how long they last depends on your driving habits. i just heard on tv that there is a recall for brake failure, contacted jeep and was told no, there is no recall at this time. please let me know if there is a recall on 05 jeep grand cherokee for brake failure. eq-10203460-4200. date received 12/12/07 *jb new jersey police report. updated 12/12/07 *tr
