Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: 2006 kawasaki motorcycle. model # vn1600b6f. purchased on may 1, 2007, from burcham cycles, inc. 333b industrial dr. petersburg, va. 23803. vehicle taken to dealer on 8/8/07 with 2 concerns. 1. on one occasion, when downshifting from 3rd gear to 2nd gear, engine cut off. 2. on one occasion, when down shifting from 2nd gear to 1st gear, engine cut off. theses instances occurred on separate days. my second issue involved a vibration that caused both mirrors to vibrate violently to the point that nothing was visible to the rear of the motorcycle. this vibration occurred between 45 mph and 70 mph. the dealership stated that no problem could be found regarding the cutting off of the engine while downshifting. the dealership stated the vibration was caused by the large 1600 cc engine. they stated that it was not a part or manufacturing problem. they suggested that i install weights in the handle bars, or use some type of rubber mounting on the mirrors to absorb the vibration. nhtsa campaign id number - 07v215000. *tr
