Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Seat belt malfunction, 1992 chevrolet van g20 with optional package "mark iii" installed with "bedix" seat belts. seat belt housing comes apart while using causing internal components to come loose and seat belt to come unlatched- then unusable. also seat belt sudden retraction causes personal injury or property damage. 1. contacted honeywell the company owner of bendix- no reply 2. contacted general motors told to contact bendix- told aftermarket belts and they are not responsible and parts are not made by the company, however seat belt extensions are made by them and do fit these belts and buckles part # 25661625 "key safety systems,inc 50a05 3. have seen same safety belts installed in new vehicles different housing than the "bendix" but the same as on the extender and the exact same as the buckle. *jb
