Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 1999 plymouth voyager. the contact could not start her vehicle and it was towed to a mechanic. the mechanic stated that a cylinder in the tumbler, where the key is placed in the ignition to start the vehicle, failed. the failure first occurred at 60,000 miles and recurred on september 7, 2007. the vehicle cannot start once this component fails. the vehicle is no longer under warranty and the contact was informed that she would be responsible for the repair. she believed it was a defect that failed every 50,000 miles and she should not be responsible for the repair. the vehicle is currently at the dealer and has not been repaired. the purchase date was unknown. the current mileage was 119,000 and failure mileage was 60,000. updated 10/24/07. *jb |
