Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2004 nissan altima. the contact received a recall notice regarding the ecm, which causes the vehicle to shut off. the failure occurred while driving approximately 40 mph. she took the vehicle to the dealer and they informed her that the notice was sent out mistakenly. she notified nissan, but has not received a response. the recall number was unknown. the current and failure mileages were 70,000. updated 12/12/2007 *bf the consumer stated nissan refused to repair the vehicle, however the vehicle was repaired through carmax using the extended warranty. updated 12/12/07 *tr
