Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My turn indicators did not always work and clicked intermittently. found nhtsa campaign id number : 03v327000 mfr's report date : aug 27, 2003 component: exterior lighting:hazard flashing warning lights:switch took the car to dealership and they told me there was no recall, when i threatened legal action, they said they found a voluntary fix, not at all the same as a recall. i got the car back and the indicators worked, but when turned off, they continued to click intermittently. dealer refused to fix. on 9/26 the dash started smoking when i used the turn indicator so i took the car in and the dealer charged me $345.15 for the repair. they replaced the turn signal switch in the tree. they said it was shorting. greg meyer service manager at pierson agreed that pontiac should pay, but said his hands were tied. he suggested i file this complaint. he further suggested that legal action may be necessary. *jb |
