| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My 2005 infiniti g35 coupe has been experiencing high amounts of engine oil consumption. finally, i asked the dealer to perform an engine oil consumption test. through the course of 3 dealership documented engine oil consumption tests, my car has consumed 4 quarts of engine oil in some 2,739 miles. the infiniti dealer has advised me that this rate of engine oil consumption is acceptable by infiniti standards. that i now come to learn that 2005 and 2006 infiniti g35's and nissan 350z's equipped with a 6 speed manual transmissions have been plagued with this high rate of engine oil consumption for some time. should this issue not be a recall item for the consumer? *jb |
