Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 1999 pontiac grand prix. while driving 20 mph, the vehicle shut off. the contact stated that the vehicle would overheat and the engine remained running when the air conditioner was activated. the failure hinders the wheels on the vehicle from turning properly while driving. when the vehicle shuts off, it usually takes at least eight hours for it to restart. she stated that the vehicle was also leaking engine coolant. the vehicle has been taken to several mechanics and the radiator has been flushed and the water pump, thermostat, and relay switch have been replaced. the most recent assessment was that the intake gasket was faulty and needed to be replaced. the powertrain was unknown. the current mileage was 128,000 and failure mileage was 121,099. |
