Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2007 chevrolet silverado dur-max 2500. while driving approximately 55 mph at night, the contact slammed on the brakes to avoid a crash. he then crashed into a semi-trailer and struck a boulder. neither of the vehicle's frontal air bags deployed. a police report was filed. the contact's vehicle was destroyed and towed to a local auto shop. he sustained injuries. the manufacturer sent an inspector to determine why the air bags did not deploy and he concluded that the contact was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the deployment. however, the contact stated that he was wearing his seat belt. the vin was unknown. the current and failure mileages were 66,000.
