| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2000 nissan pathfinder. the vehicle was parked in the garage with a full tank of gas. the contact smelled a strong gas odor in the house and inspected the vehicle. he then noticed gas on the garage floor. he removed the vehicle from the garage and discovered that the gas filler tube had rusted through, allowing fuel to leak from the vehicle. the contact purchased the part and replaced the component. since that time, he has been made aware of nhtsa campaign id number 07v435000 (fuel system, gasoline:storage:tank assembly:filler pipe and cap), however, nissan stated that his vin was not included. the current mileage was 82,493 and failure mileage was 75,000. updated 01/02/08.*lj updated 12/12/07 |
