Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Sun, august 25, 2007 i stepped around to the right side of my bike & noticed by bike frame was split in two; it was a clean split. the mechanic stated that my bike was not safe to ride & he would let arturo know (the owner of twin cities custom cycles). i was that clay ridley would take care of me arturo also mentioned that clay had told him about 1 years ago that if he ever saw a 03' that had a frame problem to let him know.) i was informed by other riders that ridley knew there was a problem with the 03 frames, that the welders where doing something to to cool the frames down quicker so they could work with them, this compromised the welding & when ridley found out they pulled them (bikes) off line. i asked arturo if ridley knew there was a possible defective issue, why they didn't recall the bikes for that year & fix them up-front? he stated that there was no way of know which bikes were affected and if and/or when they would break. later i asked clay what was going to happen. all he stated was i was not the original owner (i bought the bike on consignment about 1 years ago); but they would replace it all for free. they did ship my bike back to oklahoma. my bike was returned to me on oct 5, 2007. although, i'm not the original owner, this was clearly a mf's defect per damage disclosure to purchasers of new motor vehicles title 47 ch 74 sec 1112.1? ridley knew & did nothing; took a wait & see attitude. i was sold this bike on consignment without full disclosure that there could be an issue with the frame by arturo welch. he claims he didn't know the extent of the potential frame problem. *tr
