Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2002 gmc envoy began to emit overwhelming odors. the interior of the car and exterior of the car smells strongly of leaking fuel. the vehicle must be parked in my driveway to prevent vapors from accumulating in my garage and seeping into my home. the leaking odors into the garage and house have caused me to have severe headaches. the captured vapors in my garage presented a severe fire hazard. i took my vehicle to a local mechanic who reported to me that the fuel pump assembly on top of the fuel tank was leaking due to corrosion on several of the tubes that transport fuel. he stated this is avery common problem on the gmc envoys and that he has repaired many of them for the same problem. *tr |
