Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: 2002 chevrolet k2500hd , the anti-lock brakes activate at slow speeds during gentle braking. same trouble as described in nhtsa campaign # 05v379000 / chevy recall # 05068. i have the same symptoms as described in this document but my dealer and the gm cust. serv. line both advise that my truck is not included in the recall. service manager at local chevrolet dealership said $230 for the same work as stated in the recall plus $80 for each sensor if they break when being removed which they seem prone to do. or he said that i could pull the fuse to the abs system, but they could not. gm customer service contact said they could not help with the break problem but offered a coupon for other service ie> oil change. *jb |
