| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2002 chevrolet avalanche 1500. while the contact's spouse was driving 5 mph in a parking lot, the vehicle accelerated without warning and crashed into a store. there were no warning lights illuminated during or after the crash. the vehicle was repaired and the store sustained $1,900 worth of damage. the sudden acceleration recurred, however, the driver was able to gain control. the dealer stated that for $100 they would clean the throttle body, but would not guarantee that it caused or would correct the failure. a police report was filed and photos are available. the estimated failure mileage was 68,066 and current mileage was 68,166. |
