Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2005 k-z new vision. the vehicle has mankang tires (na). while driving 68 mph, the driver side rear tire blew out and damaged the fender on the trailer. the tire was replaced with a spare and was inspected. the sticker on the vehicle read 2 axles 5,200 pounds each gvw 10,000. the axles are rated at 3,500 pounds each. the tire size was st20575r15c, but should have been size st225r75d. the rims should be 15 x 16 inches; however, they are 15 x 5 inches. the components are the original ones that came with the vehicle. the dot number was unknown. the tire failure mileage was 2,000. no other vehicle information was available. the consumer stated the vin sticker did not match to what was on the trailer. the consumer did not believe the blowout was due to a defect, the tire was simply overloaded. the consumer had the trailer loaded based on the rating on the vin sticker. the consumer was loaded at 8200lbs on a trailer rated for 10000lbs when in reality the trailer could only handle 7000lbs. updated 11/06/07. *jb |
