Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: On 10/12/07 i was driving my 2004 nissan titan on the interstate. my brakes totally failed and i had to coast and use the transmission to stop. their was minimal braking when i had the pedal in the floor and the truck shook violently. upon restarting the car the brakes seemed to work. i contacted nissan and was told after telling the person what happened that my computer had a glitch. it took her like two seconds to come up with how to fix it over the phone. i thought it was really funny that what they called a glitch could have killed me and others. they supposedly fixed it when i took it in. from research this sounds pretty common with this truck. i have been told that resetting of the computer would fix it. if it is that simple then nissan should do a recall and reset them all before someone dies or is seriously injured. *jb |
