Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Design of intake manifold from manufacturer was flawed. manufacturer corrected this flaw 2 years later. however, in august of this year, my vehicle experienced the result of inferior parts being placed on this vehicle at manufactured date. the intake manifold is placed near a heat source and as a result, the intake manifold melted causing a hole and the loss of radiator fluid and inability to operate vehicle. the repair bill was $810.00. the repair shop suggested contacting the manufacturer. the manufacturer referred me to an authorized dealer here locally. the dealer has referred me back to the manufacturer for reimbursement. the manufacturer referred me back to the dealer for reimbursement. i am being batted back and forth between the two just to get reimbursed for the expense of repairing a design flaw by the manufacturer. obviously, they recognized the design flaw in the vehicle because in two years of this vehicle being sold to the public with the flaw, they redesigned the intake manifold to have a metal cover protecting it from the heat source that caused the damage. *tr |
