| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2001 chevrolet silverado 1500. while driving 5 mph through a parking lot, the contact applied the brakes and the vehicle continued forward. the brakes eventually began to function. he was able to drive the vehicle to a mechanic and the failure was diagnosed as the vehicle speed control sensor. he will have the vehicle speed control sensor replaced. in october 2002, the speed control sensors were cleaned for corrosion, but not replaced under nhtsa campaign id number 05v379000 (service brakes, hydraulic: antilock). the purchase date was unknown. the current mileage was 67,800 and failure mileage was 67,500. * updated 12/12/07 *bf updated 12/12/07 *tr |
