Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2006 jeep commander 4x2. the contact stated that the engine stalled at least five times. the vehicle lost power and the engine completely shut off while driving 40 mph. she only had to turn the key once to restart the engine. she also stated that the transmission light illuminated during the stalling and the transmission was stuck in third gear. the contact had to drive nine miles to the dealer with the vehicle in third gear. she paid out of pocket for the repair. the dealer stated that the failure was caused by build up in the transmission filter. the current mileage is 16,011. updated 01-14-08. *kb updated 12/12/07.*jb
