Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: When riding a motorcycle in california, i am forced by law to wear a helmet that meets dot standards, fmss 218. problem being, any helmet that meets those standards cannot withstand a direct impact at anything over 25 miles per hour. more pedestrians are killed every year than are motorcyclists, why are they not required to wear that piece of plastic? pedestrians do not exceed 25 miles per hour. *tr
