Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Harassment by the raleigh pd at raleigh bikefest. raleigh police disapproved of a helmet which was labeled dot, certifying compliance with fmvss 218 by the manufacturer. threats to ticket me $170 if i didn't put on another helmet indicate the motorcycle patrol officer is unfamiliar with gs 20-140.4 and the fining statute, gs 20-135.2a. the other helmet, which i put on, under direct order by the police officer was not certified compliant with fmvss 218 by the manufacturer. complaints have been filed with the governor, mayor, raleigh pd, and nc dmv. the nc dmv has no list of approved helmets making the mandatory helmet law vague in nc, therefore unconstitutional as enforced. the number of deaths in nc has increased despite mandatory universal helmet laws. stop government intrusion on our civil liberties. let adults decide. stop using the ntsb to do the lobbying for the nhtsa which has been restricted by congress. *tr
