Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: No failure - i'm here to voice my support of a national law that enforces use of a helmet for all motorcycle riders. i'm sick and tired of the helmet issues. i've had to bury four people whom i knew personally who died because they had freedom of choice?. one was even an active duty tsgt. the official finding was that he had disobeyed directives and his survivors were denied the benefits. another one died when a car suddenly slowed down in front of him and he couldn't get out of the way in time. head hit the pavement at around 20 mph. yet another broadsided a car that pulled out in front of him. he nailed it doing about 35 mph. not his fault, but what does it matter? finally, a couple (you'll probably remember this one) hit a deer, she survived and he didn't. everyone above died of head injuries, and investigations on all four agree that a helmet would have saved all of them. personally, i'm writing to all my representatives in the sc legislature and us congress to state my support for a national helmet law. i grow weary of burying people i know and seeing their torn-up families, financial ruin and children with no father. all in the name of stupidity. i'd be very happy to make all these people wear a helmet. *tr |
