| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While recently riding and wearing my helmet, i was almost killed when a motorist ran a stop sign and due to the restrictive "peripheral vision" that i experienced because of wearing a helmet, i will no longer ride with one. another complaint is that recently while on a ride during windy conditions and wearing a helmet, i developed a headache more severe than anything i have ever experienced and it was due to the continued strain of the wind blowing onto my helmet and consequently put a strain on my head that caused this severe pain. i eventually stopped and put the helmet away and continued my ride and the headache eventually went away after 15-20 min. as long as our law allows, i will not be wearing a helmet any longer as in my opinion as a 42+yr rider, they are very unsafe and not at all practical. i want to live and helmetless is the only common sense approach for me. *tr |
