Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The jack that was delivered with my 2007 toyota corolla collapsed twice while i was changing a tire. the front fender was damaged while it bounced onto the tire. it was lucky that i was not injured. i contacted toyota and was told that the incident was recorded at its national headquarters under file #200710110662 and was told to contact the local dealer to resolve the issues. the dealer ordered a new jack and compared it side by side with the defective jack in the normally raised position and determined that it was unstable. the jack was replaced and the fender damage resulted from the collapsed jack was also replaced by the dealer under factory warranty. it is likely that the same batch of jacks could have similar problems and could cause similar collapses that can cause injury to users. *tr |
