Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Tl*the contact owns a 2006 jeep commander. while driving 30-35 mph, the vehicle shut off without warning. the dealer was unable to duplicate the failure. as of november 5, 2007, the dealer had not repaired the vehicle. the contact stated that the vehicle would not shift correctly and he heard a grinding noise coming from the engine. the dealer stated that the vehicle needed a new transmission. they replaced the transmission. the failure mileage was 3,000 and current mileage was 11,730. the consumer stated a new transmission put in the vehicle and new bearings in the transfer case. the consumer stated a new power steering pump, new brake calipers, and the consumer stated there are still electrical problems with the vehicle. updated 11/20/07 *tr
