Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: We have purchased a chevy 3500hd dump truck. we have known this truck for a few years and the brake lights have been stuck on and no signals for two years. we were told about the recall for the multi-function switch for other 2000 truck models, i.e. the 2000 blazer, because of this situation. we feel that our truck should be included in the recall because it has the same problems as the other trucks made by chevy in the same year and suspect it is the same part. we have been told that the part is $400 and $250 to replace in labor. we don't feel that we should have to go through the cost and then get reimbursed for the cost when it is finally recalled. in the process of finding out what the problem was, hundreds of dollars have been spent on useless "fixes" because there is no recall for this particular truck and no one thought about that particular switch being bad until we were talking to a blazer owner of the same year that told us about the recall on his truck. we investigated a little more and there are more than the 2000 blazer with this part being recalled. *tr |
