Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: 2002 grand am se bought used 11/2006, july 2007 car starts intermittently, told nothing can be done, but its a common problem this happened about 5 times, august 2007 car would stall while driving no warning lights, would start immediately, took into dealer replaced a washer as per a service bulletin, was told could fix, may not that it could be passlock security system was told this is a very common problem on these cars as the part and the replacement parts are all faulty, car ran fine for 2 months, now wont start in the morning, fuel pump is turning, alternator and starter are fine, dealer says no problem found, have to crank 3-5 times to get it too start, then its fine all day, and the next morning wont start, then becomes intermittent. the parts to replace faulty passlock bring the repair job to over $500, and they cant guarantee and said that it will happen again, i have read about this on numerous websites and cant understand why pontiac wont fix the problem. i bought a newer car to elevate repair costs and now have to deal with a car payment and an unreliable vehicle. i will not buy a gm car again, due to their poor customer service and refusal to admit they have a problem when sooo many people are complaining about it. *tr
