Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My daughter was driving down the garden state parkway on the morning of 11/3/07 when the passenger side (side) airbag deployed for no apparent reason. she was obviously very scared by the airbag deployment but managed to stay in control of the car and avoid crashing. we brought the car immediately to the dealership where she purchased the car. the dealer dealt with ford with regard to the incident and on thursday 11/8/07 i got a call from the dealer saying that ford determined the airbag deployment was caused by a stone kicking up off the road and hitting the underside of the car. my concern is for my daughter's safety and needless to say i am not satisfied with fords explanation on the cause of this issue. ford has not offered any other explanations or taken any actions that would make me comfortable in knowing that this would not could not occur again. *tr |
