Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: I have a jeep grand cherokee. the heating unit has failed. it only blows cold air. i went online to check if it was something that i could fix myself because i called two dealers and they all want to charge $1200 or more to fix it. to my surprise, i found several forums and user groups online whereby people have complained of the same failure in their jeep cherokees from year 99-04 models. what they all describe is the exact same problem and experience we had with our jeep. first the passenger side goes out and only blows cold....then a few weeks later, the driver side does the same thing. i can not imagine why a recall has not been issued on this. the manufacturer acts as if this is not a problem. i would challenge someone to go back and look at how many of these have had to be replaced in those model years. it will be a shocking number. *tr
