| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Tire failure due to tread separation. new double axel 5th wheel trailer 11,800 lbs, k-z manufacturer, montego bay model. mileage on trailer approx 3,400. four tires from tireco imported- made in china - mission brand size ts - 235/80r16. while on ih-5 traveling at 60 mph a driver in next lane identified that my trailer tire was flapping its tread and i pulled over before the tire was completely destroyed. had to get road service to replace both rear axel tires as they were both damaged. tire pressure was at 68-70 psi in tire that was together but lost tread. other tire was flat. we had checked tire pressure about 45 minutes and 40 miles prior to incident when we refueled. *tr |
