Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The government is already years late in coming up with proper headlight standards. the situation in the northeast and perhaps other areas where there is now a near majority of suv's is becoming intolerable. there needs to be an adjustment to standards for headlight height (this is a no brainer that should have been in place years ago..). hid headlights (since it's too late to ban them) should be required to have automatic leveling controls like they do in europe. where have the regulators been on this? (i am refraining from an obscene phrase) anyone regularly driving a crowded highway at night knows the situation has gotten much worse over the past few years. from nhtsa web site. *tr |
