| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Problems relating to numerous breaks in the tail gate cables on the gmc sierra. reference odi 10113427.*mr the consumer was injured 15 years ago when the tailgate on his ford 150 failed. the consumer's current complaints is in reference to his 1999 gmc sierra. this truck is on it's third set of tailgate cables in only 5 years. the rubber coating on the cables cracked over time which resulted on water and road salt seeping into the cracks. over time the metal core rusted then broke. the consumer believes that the tailgate problem is not isolated to one manufacturer . *nm |
