Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Dometic refrigerator recall 06e-076 customer has concerns about the recall kit and states that it doesn't work**cc the consumer stated he just received the recall notice on june 22, 2007 and is glad there was no traveling done prior to the recall notice. the consumer stated dometic should make good with a new refrigerator because the recall kits do not prevent fires, and it is merely an aluminum shield hiding the fact that the propane gas valve is turned off. the igniter will still operate , the furnace is just below and the cook stove is next to it. if a fatigue cracked developed in the boiler tube, it could still cause a fire. *jb |
