Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Ltr fm brett woody (tx) owner of toyota lexus es-300 designed with a defective transmission suggests nhtsa to investigate. reply to the dallas, tx district ofc attn: leslie abshire dot 2004-4219. *la the vehicle's transmission was designed with software that supposedly anticipated a consumer's driving style. the consumer indicated that the system did not work and was dangerous. the consumer received a new vehicle from lexus (lexus es300). *nm the transmission failed twice. on numerous occasions the consumer tapped his foot on the brakes and the rpm's raced and the vehicle would barely move. in stop and go traffic the vehicle would surge forward and felt like a slip in the transmission. *sc *jb
