Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: While wearing a london fog style overcoat, i (7 times in as many years) entered the vehicle to drive. i fastened the seat belt, started the vehicle, shifted to reverse and sat back (same motion), and the loop on the overcoat snagged the door handle and opened the door while i was backing up. unfortunately, my driveway dictates that i back up to the right side. the weight of the opening door literally attempts to pull you out of the seat. i reported this to dealer and they laughed and told me not to wear a london fog style overcoat when i drive. i telephoned the gm "hotline" and a young lady suggested if i didn't like gm to buy another brand. great. the 4 dr jimmy is my wife's vehicle and the chevy cars/trucks i have been buying since 1969 - i took her advice and bought a '99 dodge 4wd pu. *ak |
