Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: We purchased our 1994 explorer in dec. 1993. we immediately started having trouble with the car. it would vibrate at a higher rate of speed. we took the car to the dealer and they told us that it was a built-in vibration and that we would be contacted by ford . we also took the car to firestone and told them this story, they balanced the tires and told us to go back to ford. every time we went back to ford they told us some story that they were working on the problem and that ford was going to send them a kit to correct the vibration. we waited...we went back to firestone and they rotated and balanced the tires again. after many years of getting the run around from everyone involved we finally purchased new tires and shocks and suddenly the problem went away. now that all this information has come to light about ford and firestone covering up these problems we may have saved our lives. we would like to be reimbursed for the cost of the tires we bought. we still have the original spare. i contacted firestone about the tires and they told us that since we replaced them before the recall it was to bad, try calling ford. i called ford and they said they wouldn't do anything. we have all our paperwork to back this up. please let us know if we can do anything.*ak( dot number: tire size: p235/75r15 ) |
