Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: There's a loud deep sound within the engine compartment that's heard when the vehicle is idling or running. this occurs because the engine cam shifts. manufacturer is aware of this failure, and the solution is to place a special button in front the cam to avoid it from moving. *ak the manufacturer and dealer have been aware of the problem while the vehicle was still under warranty but claimed it was normal engine noise. now they want to change hundreds of dollars to fix it. a factory trained land rover repair specialist reported to consumer that land rover was aware of this since 1996. *bf *nm |
