| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: The listed vechile (1992 lincoln town car) and other vechile years and makes manufactured by the ford motor co. such as 1993 lincoln town car, 1992-1993 mercury marquie, and the 1992-1993 ford crown victoria to name a few (there could be other modles with this same problem. but these modles are the ones i know of for sure) impose a serious environmental and safty problem being that the oil pans on same rot out with rust. in doing so oil is constantly weeping from oil pan area. this is a well known problem that myself and people in the auto industry are well aware of. i personally know 6 people that are or have expierenced the same problem. i know this may not be #1 on the safety concern list but it certainly imposes some enviromental impact concerns. there are numerous cars of this type of year ,makes and modles in service at this time. i personally add at least 1 quart of oil per/week in fear that my wife would run the engine out of oil and blow the engine while on the hiway which could have adverse effects while in traffic. i am sure owners have blown there motors and been involved in near misses or accidents because of this problem. |
