Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The rear suspension and wire harness was altered by winnebago and does not meet federal standards. the certification documents show a chevrolet p30 chassis. chevrolet did not authorize winnebago to change the chassis. the rear suspension leaf springs were cut in halve and jet-ride airbag were installed. the airbags rubber touch the rear brake assembly. when the brakes get hot and you go around a corner , the airbag explodes. the body frame rails then fall on to the rear axle, metal to metal. the rear of the rv hit the ground ejecting the spare tire onto the road. this creates a very dangerous situation, for other motorists. the front of the rv also falls but not metal to metal. the front drivers side tire impacts the main wireharness and starts to grind it in halve. as the wire harness comes apart the engine stops running and the rv comes to a stop. the brake system has also failed quite often. the main valve blows seals and loses fluid, the linkage systems for the park brake engages the park brake while the vehicle is at highway speeds.
