Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: Vehicle always exhibited extremely long stopping distances on any surface whenever abs engaged. abs unit failed after an instance of hard braking. whenever abs unit would engage, when it was still working, it felt like the truck would just keep going and going and never stop - a very, very scary feeling. it would cost over $1,200 to replace and gm dealer service person had told me that almost every unit had failed at one time or another; gm even reduced price for the replacement due to high demand. there is definitely something wrong with this picture - i paid extra for abs brakes when i bought the truck and they have been nothing but trouble.
