| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I purchased this vehicle through phh management as a used fleet vehicle from the company i work for, marconi communications(previously reltec). i knew the person towhom the vehicle was assigned, and purchased it at the end of the lease. the vehicle could be described as "pristine" condition except for the recurring unexpected shutdown problems. these shutdowns have happened in single lane construction zones on the ohio turnpike and on the bridge to canada, and it is a miracle we have not been involved in an accident yet. the failures seem to occur mostly in temperatures above 70 f and at speeds above 55 mph. and especially with 4 or more adults aboard or some reasonable load. i have spent in excess of $500 dollars on experimental parts changeouts trying to remedy the problem but to no avail. *ak |
