| Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: My cousin was involved in a crash on may 4th of 1997, in which him and the driver of a 1994 toyota pick were ejected and killed. i took pictures of the truck just a few days after the wreck. the police report and the newspaper reported that neither were wearing seat belts, however according to the photos taking of the truck i see that the passenger seat belt was completely tore out of the side wall of the truck where the brass hex bolt holds it to the inside wall of the cab. i must have missed this back in 1997 and just recently noticed that my cousin was wearing his seat belt however the seat belt had to of given away and broke free from the cab wall therefore ejecting him from the truck. i can say that the photos are disturbing to see that the seat belt was broke away like. i am in the process of obtaining the pictures from my cousins mother at this time. i hope that something can be researched and tested or even the pictures be looked at and i would like a report about this matter if that's at all possible. i want to make sure that no one else is subjected to a failure in there seat belt if in fact that's what happened in this case. thank you tommy hill. *jb |
