Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Discovered a nhtsa on 1995 chevrolet pickup trucks relative to windshield wiper failures. mine has been doing the same thing as described in nhtsa 98v150 for past 2 + years. when they stop working i have to stop the vehicle, raise the hood and reach the circut board box on the firewall. i shake/rap it slightly and the wipers start working again. also moving the wires going into the unit can cause the wipers to stop or run. i have contacted chevrolet and they claim my truck is not included in the recall even though it is the same problem described in nhtsa 98/150. this is a high risk safety problem as the wipers can fail at any time or intermittingly. i don't understand why my 1995 truck is excluded to repair this safety defect and problem that's just like other chevrolet 1995 trucks. *ak |
