Was Vehicle Towed: - Description of the Complaints: The following is a list of reasons that caused the fire in my motor home. 1.haldex "pureair plus" air dryer thru a defect in a fiberboard connector broke & shorted 12 volt to ground. 2.spartan motors installed a 20 amp circuit breaker to protect the air dryer. haldex recomments a 10 amp fuse. the short caused the air dryer connecter to overheat & start the fire. 3.spartan motors used a wiring harness designed for a larger motor home & bundled excess with air dryer connector. the plastic used to incase the wiring harness is very flammable & caused the engine compartment insulation which is also very flammable to stread the fire over the entire engine compartment. *ak
