Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: Complete failure of rear differentials - all internal parts destroyed. ford dealer that repaired vehicle gave no reason for failure. no external damage. vehicle used normally - no off-road or heavy trailer use. contacted ford vice president, not compensation offered. paid $3k to repair rear end with no dealer warranty. reason: not sure why it went out before. ford stated that due to failure happening 36 months a 14 days after vehicle manufactured - not covered under powertrain warrantee. contacted bbb, no assistance. sold bronco and will never own another ford product again due to the way i was treated by the company. the dealer that fixed the unit told me that he "felt" it was due to a defect in materials in the rear end - but could/would not put that in writing.*ak |
