Was Vehicle Towed: - | Description of the Complaints: I purchased vehicle second hand in 1998.... i was informed of a factory recall on my make/model of vehicle regarding the inhibitor switch.... my local dealer make the necessary repairs at no cost to me.... switch continued to give me intermittent problems but dealer could not duplicate... recently i left car with dealer who confirms defective inhibitor switch but claims no such recall and no such work performed... claims they only changed "lockdown cable" under factory/government recall.... your webpage doesn't confirm either recall... would you please explain if there is a recall on either part and submit my complaint that a inhibitor switch (internal switch that allows to engage starter in neutral/park) should not fail on a vehicle within 5 years of manufacture date. *ak |
